The Terminal List Season 2 Review: I Watched All 8 Episodes in One Night!

I finally spent the entire night watching The Terminal List Season 2 to completion. I had been excited to watch this series. The trailer really caught my interest, and now that I’ve seen it, I can confidently say it’s an incredible show. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

However, there are a few downsides as well.

The Terminal List Season 2 Story: What’s It About?

To begin with the basic storyline, we follow our hero. You probably know that in part one, he took his revenge, and now he is ready to die comfortably with his tumour. Meanwhile, he ends up in Mozambique to live with a friend.

The CIA approaches our hero, Reece, with an offer: if he agrees to take on a mission for them, they will clear his name—removing him from the FBI’s “most wanted” list—and provide treatment for his tumor. Reece decides to accept the mission.

The mission involves a shipment of weapons—intended for Ukraine—that is instead falling into the hands of terrorists. These terrorists are using the arms to kill large numbers of people, and it turns out they are orchestrating a much larger, more dangerous plan.

So, how exactly are these weapons reaching the terrorists? Who is helping them—is it someone from the CIA, a member of a special team, or someone else entirely? And what is this major plot the terrorists are planning? You’ll have to watch the series to find out.

Action and Cinematography Are the Biggest Highlights

I bet that once you start watching the first episode, you’ll remain completely engaged with the series right until the very end. You won’t be able to take your eyes off it for even a single moment—it has been crafted so beautifully.

Take the scene in Mozambique, Africa, for instance—it’s absolutely stunning. It’s so beautiful that it makes you want to buy a plot of land there and build a home.

And it’s not just that one scene; And not just those scenes, all the scenes, like going to Ukraine or any other country, have been shot so beautifully.

From the very first glance, it’s clear that this is a series with high production quality.

The action sequences are choreographed and presented in a way that makes them truly compelling to watch.

The quality is exceptionally high—whether it’s hand-to-hand combat, gunfire, the use of rifles, various other forms of fighting, bomb blasts, or doors being blown off their hinges—every single action sequence is a delight to watch.

In fact, the action sequences are the series’ greatest strength. Though, there is something else, too.

The cinematography and production quality of this series are so exceptional that they deserve to be ranked right at the top alongside everything else.

Action is its greatest strength; however, the production quality and cinematography are equally impressive—so much so that I found it impossible to take my eyes off the screen.

The gunfights, tactical operations, international locations, and the overall cinematic scale make this a series you simply have to watch.

Chris Pratt and the Supporting Cast Deliver

From: Amazon.com

Furthermore, Chris Pratt’s performance is excellent; his character, Reece, is so compelling that it serves as yet another reason to finish the series.

It’s not just him, though—the supporting cast is also fantastic, keeping us engaged throughout the series. We develop genuine feelings for them; when they suffer or go through hardship, we feel that pain too—for instance, something happens in the eighth episode that is truly heartbreaking.

In short, the characters are well-written—at least, that’s what I think.

The Biggest Problem: Story and Pacing

But do you know what the biggest weakness of this series is? Its story and pacing.

There’s no doubt that everything else in this series is excellent. Watching it from the first episode to the eighth feels like an enjoyable roller-coaster ride. However, the creators failed to strike the right balance.

For instance, they struggled to balance the grand international conspiracy depicted in the show with the protagonist’s personality.

As a result, they couldn’t fully utilize that major conspiracy. By the end, you’ll likely feel that it’s “not bad”—it’s a good watch, and I personally enjoyed it quite a bit.

Still, you’re left with the feeling that the story could have been improved and presented better—perhaps without making it overly complicated. Regardless, despite these minor flaws, it’s definitely a series worth watching.

The Terminal List Season 2 Review: Final Verdict

I’d easily give it a 7.5 or even an 8 out of 10; I was thoroughly entertained, and since the series has so many positive aspects—which is exactly what we look for in a movie or show—it succeeds in its goal of providing entertainment.

While you could otherwise watch this series with your entire family, there is one specific scene—involving someone being tortured while completely naked—that makes it unsuitable for a family viewing.

Anyway, go check it out; the series is available on Prime Video.

See you soon!
