JioHotstar is like a bad masturbation session—it leaves you feeling incredibly weird, mostly because every random, nonsensical movie ends up on the platform. After being subjected to some cheap, forced romance pushed by influencers with beaks like ostriches, I decided to check out their new film, Jhaad Phoonk.
Jhaad Phoonk Story: What’s It About?
Jhaad Phoonk is set in Uttarakhand. A young woman finds herself pregnant, and her boyfriend is on the verge of cheating on her or rather, dumping her. After a confrontation, they get into an accident. The woman eventually reaches a house inhabited by an older couple who offer to take care of her. But what are their true intentions? You’ll have to open JioHotstar and watch the movie to find out.
Jhaad Phoonk Is a Complete Disaster
If I had to sum up Jhaad Phoonk in one line, it was an absolute disaster—it completely fried my balls. It’s a pathetic film. You’d have a better chance of successfully dressing a housefly in a saree than finding anything to praise in this movie. Honestly, you’d have more fun fondling a donkey’s testicles.
In my book, writing the script for this movie is a major crime, producing it is an even bigger offense, and subjecting an audience to this film—effectively torturing them—is the ultimate crime of all.
To be honest, no amount of praise for this film would be too much. Throughout the movie, I was thinking, “Something will happen, something will happen, something will happen,” and finally, it happened. I wasted my time.
Brother, they’ve truly scammed us in the name of horror. No ghost is coming. Black money will come back into the country for once. But horror won’t come in movies like this.
This movie does one thing very well, and that’s deceiving the audience.
Finding horror in this movie is as difficult a task as finding water on Mars. You might find water there, but forget about finding horror here.
Does Jhaad Phoonk Have Anything Worth Praising?
Yes, the actors in the movie, like Sumbul Touqeer, Yashpal Sharma, Padmini Kolhapure, etc., did a good job. But seeing such old rice resurface in the market, it’s clear that their pots have rusted.
Look, I’m telling you the truth, this could have been a good story. The makers were considering topics, but nothing happened in this movie. This movie did one thing really well, and that was wasting time.
Look at the BGM: Jhaada, Jhaad Phoonk, Aastha, Manjari, Jhaada, Jhaad Phoonk. If you have a sore throat, take a Vicks tablet. How long will you keep telling us this kind of BGM in the name of ghosts, and there wasn’t even a ghost here?
Nothing was shown about Manjari’s ghost, who she was, what she was, and why she was there. Okay, her backstory wasn’t shown. Yes, it was clear what might have happened, but why so much buildup? Don’t build up to this.
Jhaad Phoonk Review: Final Verdict
The whole movie is like one of those MLM scams where people never actually make any money. I’d give it a 1 out of 10—it’s completely pointless. Honestly, I’d rather just uninstall JioHotstar if this is the kind of content they’re going to keep showing us in the future.
There’s no need for parental guidance because vulgarity doesn’t exist.
So friends, that was my review. Hope you enjoy.
