The Scandal Review: Lust Is Everywhere, Chemistry Is Nowhere

Honestly, I didn’t expect this from Korea; they’ve created such a sleazy and shameless K-drama that it’s going to tarnish the reputation of K-dramas on Netflix.

Fans of JCW, Nana, or Son Ye-jin will be absolutely horrified and lose sleep after witnessing the filth in this show. However, for the “thirsty” fans out there, it might just make their day.

The Scandal Is Definitely Not a Family Watch

Yes, I’m talking about the K-drama The Scandal. For God’s sake, don’t watch it with your family by mistake, or they’ll completely disown you.

The Scandal Review: What Is the Story About?

Look, I enjoy erotic thrillers—I’ve watched plenty of movies and series like Dark Desire—but honestly, this K-drama was so sleazy that it truly disappointed me.

The story revolves around two cousins who make a bet to seduce a widow living across the street. You’ll have to watch it on Netflix to see how they get entangled in a game of lust, desire, and love, and what the outcome turns out to be.

The Scandal Episodes and Hindi Dub

It has a total of eight episodes and is available in Hindi dubbing.

The Biggest Problem With The Scandal Isn’t the Explicit Content

Personally, I didn’t have an issue with the explicit scenes; the problem is that there’s absolutely no chemistry among the three leads. In fact, the supporting characters had better chemistry than the leads did.

Should You Watch The Scandal?

If you have a bit of a “thirsty” streak, you might want to give it a try; otherwise, I’d say stay as far away from it as possible. If you’re a K-drama fan, it will honestly mess with your mental health.

If The Scandal was exactly the kind of steamy drama you were looking for, you might want to check out East of Eden next. This slow-burn family drama also brings plenty of desire, mature themes, and drama, with Florence Pugh delivering one of the standout performances. Check out my East of Eden review to see if it’s your kind of binge.
