You have often seen fans hyping up their favorite stars. But when an actor starts hyping up other actors, you can be sure they are talking about Ranbir.
The Ramayana Update Fans Had Been Waiting For
Since yesterday morning, Ramayana fans have been waiting for an update on the film.

Someone like Sanjay Leela Bhansali shared wishes on social media, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga quietly announced Animal 2; meanwhile, people were practically pleading with Namit Sir and his team. When the update finally arrived, it proved that patience truly pays off.
The Ramayana team shared a behind-the-scenes video that served as a birthday wish for Ranbir Kapoor—and brought a return gift for the fans.
People were craving just a five-second glimpse, yet Namit Malhotra revealed five minutes of footage. It makes one wonder: why did it take so long?
Namit Malhotra Finally Shows What They’ve Been Building
Honestly, while the update might not have quite lived up to the massive hype claims that Indian cinema would change, the world would turn upside down, haters’ careers would end, or that it would be a VFX masterclass, we have to admit one thing: we did misjudge Namit Malhotra and his team.
The way they are creating the world of the Ramayana with such incredible detailing is amazing. They’ve paid attention to every single detail, big or small—they’ve even hired British professionals for the job, bro.
And this isn’t the only recent Ramayana project that caught my attention. I recently watched Ramayana: Path of Dharma, an AI-created animated version of the epic, and its visual detailing genuinely surprised me. I’ve broken down the full trailer of Ramayana: Path of Dharma here.
Now back to the topic…
Regardless of the film’s emotional impact, one thing is certain: its fight scenes and battle sequences are going to set a new standard for Indian cinema.
To those who were mocking certain scenes in the trailer—like the elephant flying in the air and so on—get ready; the detailing in those moments is going to be on a whole new level.
You know that record-breaking motion capture technique used in Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Raaka? They are using the same technology here, and the result is going to be solid.
It was a real treat to see how a simple green screen setup was transformed into such a detailed background, boss.
Ramayana’s Battle Scenes Could Be Something Else
There are certainly unique advantages to shooting in a studio, aren’t there? And did you notice closely? Ranbir is performing all his stunts himself; you can no longer accuse him of using a body double.
Especially in those frames where Ranbir’s face isn’t visible—that silhouette feels truly divine. There is no need to even ask which actor is standing there in the shadows.
Ranbir Kapoor Finally Starts Feeling Like Ram
This is the first time I have felt like this after watching any content from the film. They have truly treated the subject of the Ramayana with respect; until now, the conversation had revolved solely around VFX and budgets.
Some scenes from the behind-the-scenes video have literally breathed life into the Ramayana. An emotional connection is beginning to form—something that previously felt like ‘hero-panti’ plastic.
People have been questioning Ranbir Kapoor’s casting from the very beginning. While this video might not silence the critics completely, it certainly demonstrates just how solid an actor he is.
When filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Nitesh Tiwari all send birthday wishes to the same person, you realize the immense range he possesses as an actor.

Even the original ‘Ram Ji’—Arun Govil—has stated that if there is anyone in the industry best suited to play Lord Ram, it is Ranbir Kapoor.
Nitesh Tiwari, too, has acknowledged that he found everything he was looking for in a lead actor within this one man. Furthermore, ever since I heard Sai Pallavi’s description—referencing a specific photograph—whenever I close my eyes, it is only Ranbir’s face that I see.
The BTS Video Finally Gave Ramayana Some Soul
Fair enough—questioning the scale of the Ramayana adaptation would just be embarrassing for oneself—but if they had revealed a few new scenes, the hype could have reached the next level, boss.
It was great to see how small ideas were brought to life on the big screen, but since we’ve seen this sort of thing before, it didn’t exactly come as a huge surprise.
This might well be the Ramayana team’s best asset to date—something that could finally garner 100% positive feedback. That’s all it took; now, what is there left for people to argue about?
Given all the buzz surrounding the film all day, if they had just dropped one or two heavy VFX scenes, a debate would have kicked off—with some offering support and others working hard to pick out flaws.
The bottom line is that the conversation around the film needs to keep going; the momentum shouldn’t be allowed to die down. It’s not just the fans—the film’s team needs to stay excited about releasing content, too.
The Ramayana Theme Music Deserves More Attention
But the one thing that impressed me the most wasn’t something I saw, but something I heard—the Ramayana theme music; it is truly criminally underrated.
Many people question the AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer collaboration, but the way the music hits in the background of this video suggests the theatrical experience will be god-level.

Namit Malhotra, We Owe You an Apology
So, for all those who have been writing lengthy rants against Namit Malhotra—you’d better write an equally long apology letter now.
I’ve already started typing mine; you should get started too.
Take care
Bye bye!
