Look, bro—to be honest, this is the first K-drama in a long time where, just by looking at the poster, I couldn’t decide whether to watch it or not.
To give you my honest reaction: when I first saw the poster, I actually wondered if they were bringing us another “gay” (BL) themed series—it was genuinely hard to tell who was the actor and who was the actress! I was honestly a bit shaken.
But I’m glad it turned out to be nothing like that; in fact, what I saw actually surprised me.
I’m talking about the K-drama Love in Disguise, which has finally been released on Prime Video.
It features two fantastic South Korean actors in the lead roles. First, there’s Yim Si-wan—you might remember him as Player 333 from Squid Game.
Then there’s Seol In-ah; if I recall correctly, she was a lead in Twinkling Watermelon. And wait—how could I forget Business Proposal? Yes, she was in Business Proposal too!
While I was excited about the leads, there was another, even bigger reason I was looking forward to this K-drama: the director.
Yes, Love in Disguise is directed by the same person who brought us Weak Hero Class 1 and Weak Hero Class 2 on Netflix.
The main question is—how entertaining is this new K-drama, and is it worth your time?
Love in Disguise Review: Cast, Director and Hindi Dub
For those who prefer Hindi-dubbed content—rejoice! This K-drama is available in Hindi alongside its original language. The Hindi dubbing is quite good, no doubt about it.
New episodes will be released on a weekly basis. I’ve watched the first two episodes—at the time I’m writing this, only two episodes have been released.
What Is Love in Disguise About?

Based on these first two episodes, let me give you an idea of the story.
It follows the owner of a major company. A massive incident occurs within the firm, and the blame for it falls entirely on the boss.
Then enters our female lead—a detective—who is assigned a mission: she must infiltrate the wealthy boss’s company by posing as his secretary. But here’s the big twist: she has to go undercover not as a woman, but as a man.
This kicks off a hilarious, chaotic saga—trust me, you’ll be laughing non-stop!
So, what lengths will our female protagonist go to to catch the culprit? What kind of transformation will she undergo? Will she actually manage to track down the real perpetrator? And in the midst of this cat-and-mouse chase, might something like romance blossom between them?
To find out, you’ll have to watch this murder mystery and solve the puzzle yourself!
Love in Disguise Episodes 1 and 2 Review
Based on my experience with the first two episodes, I’d say it’s off to a great start.
Yes, it’s definitely a great start.
In these first two episodes, you get a mix of thrills, tension, excitement, suspense, mystery, a case to solve, and interesting characters—all set within a compelling world. By the end of these two episodes, you’ll likely be in the right frame of mind to decide, “Yeah, let’s keep watching this K-drama.”
It’s not just about the mystery, either; there’s a good dose of action thrown into the mix.
So, fans of action-heavy, “mass-appeal” content might want to give it a try.
Just don’t go in expecting something exactly like Mercy for None or Weak Hero. That said, since it comes from the same creators, you can certainly expect some solid fight sequences. If you’re into that kind of high-octane, “mass-market” entertainment, it’s definitely worth a look.
As for the characters, the dynamics and chemistry showcased in these first two episodes are quite engaging—I didn’t find anything to complain about there. However, there are some noticeably sharp cuts.
The editing in these first two episodes feels a bit random at times, which occasionally creates a sense of disconnection—like, “Wait, how did we get from that scene to this one?” There are also some time jumps, which might be why I struggled to fully connect with the flow at certain points.
Overall, both episodes are good. The murder mystery element offers a compelling sense of suspense.
The central question—will the murderer be caught?—is key; the first two episodes establish that a murder has taken place, but the real mystery lies in whether the character in question actually committed it, and if so, what the true motive was. This hook is sure to keep you invested in the series.
Should You Watch Love in Disguise?
For now, I’d say it’s definitely worth a watch—go ahead and give it a try! It’s a K-drama that blends murder mystery, comedy, and romance.
Let me know your thoughts if you’ve already watched it. I’ll provide a detailed review once the entire series is out, as I plan to follow it—it looks quite interesting!
