So, who will Matthew choose—Mridula or Tara?
And will his love story have a happy ending in Season 2?
But wait, there is another major question in this story: what matters more—chemistry or compatibility?
Let’s start with what drew me to this series: Arjun Das. His voice stands out—while others’ voices are like lowercase ‘a, b, c’, his is like uppercase ‘A, B, C’. Seeing him transition from intense villainous roles to a romantic, cute character—I really loved his style.

Tara and Matthew: Two Different Ways of Looking at Love
However, the true story of the series isn’t just a love triangle; There are different thoughts behind this.
On one side, there is compatibility, and on the other, chemistry—and poor Matthew is caught right in the middle.
First let’s understand why Tara and Matthew see love so differently.
Tara’s story tries to calculate love. Tara has seen fights, unstable relationship and emotional pain in her parents’ relationship since childhood. This affected his thinking. Somewhere in his mind he had this fear that if a person takes decisions in love based only on his feelings, then he may get hurt.
That’s why Tara created the Found app which tries to find the right partner for people based on their compatibility. Meaning, what is the choice of the other person? What are its values? What lifestyle do they follow? How similar is the thinking between the two? Seeing all these things, decide to form a relationship. .
But one thing has to be understood here that Tara is not wrong. She wants to make a thoughtful decision to choose a good partner.
The problem arises when a person starts calculating the relationship so much that he does not give space to his feelings. Matthew’s story: Fear of loss is more than love.
On the other side is Matthew who has suffered the pain of losing his mother. This loss gave birth to loneliness within himself and the fear of connecting deeply with anyone. He can have a good time with anyone. Can be attracted, can feel chemistry with someone. But when it comes to deep emotional connection and commitment, it becomes easy for him to step back. Because coming close to someone means connecting with him. Getting attached to him means accepting the possibility of losing him.
That means Tara wants to control everything to avoid getting hurt in love. Whereas Matthew does not want to give himself completely to anyone for fear of getting hurt.
The problems of both are different but both are trying to understand love according to their own fears and that is why their story becomes so interesting.
Why Did Matthew Choose Mridula Over Tara?
Now the question is that Matthew first rejected Mridula and then said yes to a relationship with her.
Why?
Gradually a connection was formed between Matthew and Tara which had not only attraction but also emotional depth. But when business conflicts, their different thinking, and misunderstandings started coming between them, Matthew found it easier to step back instead of facing his fear.
The relationship with Mridula had become something of a safe option for him—an option that spared him from having to deal with the emotional issues he faced with Tara.
But it is important to understand the difference here. Choosing a relationship with someone and connecting with someone from the heart are not the same thing.
Matthew said yes to Mridula. But this does not mean that his feelings for Tara have ended.
This becomes the most heartbreaking thing for Tara. For the first time, she leaves her fears behind and expresses her real feelings to Matthew. But then she learns that Matthew and Mridula are now together.
This means that the person who mustered the courage to express his feelings got in return the very thing that she wanted to avoid.
Fear of heartbreak.
Chemistry vs Compatibility: What Matters More in Love?
But to truly understand this love triangle, we need to grasp one more concept: the difference between chemistry and compatibility. What exactly sets them apart?
Think of chemistry as the initial attraction—feeling drawn to someone, enjoying conversations, feeling good, and experiencing that unique, special connection in their presence.
Compatibility, on the other hand, is about whether your mindsets, values, and lifestyles align well enough for you to be happy together in the long run. While talking for hours or eagerly waiting for a text message falls under chemistry…
…understanding and respecting each other during tough times and solving problems together is what defines compatibility.
A relationship might begin with chemistry alone, but sustaining it requires compatibility, trust, and effort from both partners.
This is the core message of Tara and Matthew’s story: Tara prioritizes compatibility when choosing a partner, whereas Matthew places greater importance on chemistry and that initial spark.
However, in real life, a relationship doesn’t succeed based solely on an algorithm or a spark; a balance between the two is essential.
What Tara and Matthew’s Story Teaches Us About Love
There are a few things we should learn from this series.
Attraction and finding the right partner are two different things. Liking someone is a good thing, but it is also crucial to see if they respect you, understand you, and stand by you during difficult times. Don’t let past fears ruin a new relationship.
Both Tara and Matthew are afraid of love because of their pasts. However, it isn’t a given that every new person will inflict the same pain on you.
Expressing love and your feelings is not a sign of weakness. Instead of running away from someone out of fear of losing them, it is important to understand your feelings and be honest about them—while still maintaining your self-respect.
Will Matthew Choose Tara or Mridula in Season 2?
Now, let’s address the question you’ve wanted the answer to from the very beginning:
Should Matthew choose Mridula or Tara?
In my opinion, based on the emotional connection shown between Matthew and Tara, it seems more likely that his story will progress with Tara. However, Matthew must first confront his fears and be honest with Mridula; after all, choosing someone simply because the relationship is easy is very different from truly loving someone.
My theory for Season 2 is that Matthew will overcome his fear and might give Tara another chance. In my opinion, the story will only have a truly happy ending if Matthew chooses not just Tara, but also the courage to fight his fears.
Tell me, do you think Matthew will choose Tara or not?
