He Moved On. She Didn’t. | Ishqa Ishqa Review

Recently, a Bollywood web series was released that blends romance, suspense, crime, and thriller elements—featuring, of course, themes of obsessive love.

Let’s discuss the overall experience this series offers.

The series is titled Ishqa Ishqa and consists of ten episodes, each with a runtime of approximately 20 to 25 minutes. It is currently available to stream on Amazon MX Player.

What Is Ishqa Ishqa About?

The series revolves around a girl named Arohi, who is extremely possessive about her boyfriend, Kabir.

We see that Arohi and Kabir have been close friends since childhood, and their friendship eventually blossoms into romance. However, the story takes a dramatic turn when Arohi’s possessiveness becomes extreme; she wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to kill anyone who tried to come between her and Kabir.

Distressed by this brutal possessiveness, Kabir asks her to promise to stay away from him for a year. During that year, however, Kabir falls in love with another girl named Suhani.

The series goes on to show how Arohi reacts when she discovers Kabir’s new relationship and reveals the various twists and turns that unfold; it also delves deeply into their personal lives.

To find out whether Arohi ultimately gets the love she desires, you’ll have to watch the series.

Also, the door has been left open for a second season, as the story isn’t over yet.

Ishqa Ishqa Web Series Review

Speaking of my personal take on the series, it certainly isn’t bad.

The premise is quite interesting, and if you enjoy romantic movies or series, you’ll likely find this entertaining.

However, the overall presentation is somewhat disappointing. While the execution manages to pique your interest, it fails to generate any real excitement.

The episodes are engaging enough, but things seem to go downhill after the first episode, preventing any significant build-up of excitement.

The overall presentation is just average; at times, it even feels a bit like a TV soap opera.

Also, the story offers nothing unique—nothing you haven’t seen before.

The pacing is also just average, and there are moments where it definitely gets boring.

Is Ishqa Ishqa Worth Watching?

So, if you’re looking to experience a romantic suspense-thriller drama, this series is certainly worth a watch.

I’m giving it 2.9 out of 5 stars; the acting and production quality are decent, and it features a mix of brutality and romance.

Final Verdict

That’s all for now. If you’ve watched the series, do let me know your personal opinion in the comments.
